DevOps Connect: DevSecOps Edition

Tuesday, 25 July | 09.00 - 17.00 hrs | Melati Junior, Level 4

In the past two years a new community has begun to rear its head, the DevSecOps Community. In this year’s DevOps Connect seminar at RSAC 2017 APJ, we’ll concentrate on how companies are beginning to incorporate security into the DevOps automated pipeline, what that can mean for your business and what the transformation process will look like. Practitioners working through the DevSecOps journey will present their stories, giving real world examples of what you can expect, obstacles they’ve overcome both technologically and culturally, and what they anticipate will be the outcome of their initiatives.

Headlining the day’s speakers is John Willis (@batchogalupe), co-author of The DevOps Handbook, who will also be signing and giving out free copies of the handbook which contains case studies on over 40 DevOps transformations.

After a full day of presentations, join us for a cocktail reception, DevOps Wine-ing (not Whining),  as we co-mingle the DevOps and Security Tribes as part of the dynamic DevSecOps community.

Ransomware Seminar

Wednesday, 26 July | 09.00 - 13.00 hrs | Peony Ballroom

Ransomware has been one of the top problems in cybersecurity for the past few years. Look no further than this year’s WannaCry outbreak around the world and it’s clear that this problem isn’t going away.

A global issue, ransomware hits APAC particularly hard with 27% of all attacks (according to Trend Micro). Telstra puts is succinctly: 1 in 3 organizations in the region experience a malware attack…much of it ransomware.

This focused seminar dives into the issue from all angles. Looking at the technical, policy, compliance, and economics of the issue, attendees will gain a better understanding of the ransomware ecosystem. Sessions will discuss innovative research, examine cases studies, look at current defenses, and debate the key question: should you pay the ransom?

Join us for this informative, timely and interactive deep dive. Detailed agenda will be posted in the coming weeks. Open to all badge types.
