Automation for its own sake can degrade our capabilities and waste defensive cycles. However, automation with the intent of driving up attacker cost and augmenting human capabilities can be a game changer for defenders. This talk will outline a straightforward, repeatable approach to automating blue team workflows and capabilities that goes beyond simple playbooks and temporary remediation.
