Passkeys improve on passwords, but the often opaque security properties of sync providers needs to be considered as part of a threat model. This talk will explore new additions to passkeys which can enhance passkey security by relying less on the sync provider's authentication methods: "relationship pubic keys" which gives relying parties more contextual data to aid in the authentication process.
