Web search queries reveal sensitive information about people, leaving a digital trace of their interests and activities. This session presents Tiptoe, a search engine that learns nothing, in a strong, cryptographic sense about what its users are searching for. To provide this privacy guarantee, Tiptoe combines advances in embedding models and modern homomorphic encryption.
