The majority of the world’s population currently live under governments that have already implemented, or are considering, bans on encryption. These encryption bans have significant implications for privacy and security as well as the global decline in democracy. Presenters will discuss current and impending policies that weaken encryption, and contrast them with the nascent privacy-preserving movement.
