“Launch nuclear weapons? There’s an app for that,” said no one—yet. Security geeks enjoy ever-increasing job security as technology-induced risk is all too often band-aided with more technology, without ever asking, “Why does my refrigerator need a firewall?” We need a Hippocratic Oath—“first, do no harm”—especially for security geeks who know all too well, “What could possibly go wrong?”
