Meeting Business Needs by Filling the Cybersecurity Skills Gap

Posted on in Presentations

“Negative Unemployment in Cybersecurity” and “500,000 Unfilled Security Jobs” are headlines that have reached Internet meme status. However, what enterprises really lack are critical security skills, not just security headcount. This session will detail lessons learned in “plussing up” existing security skills while increasing the security pipeline of capable entry-level security analysts.

Learning Objectives:
1: Learn how to evaluate your real need for additional staff and skills.
2: Learn ways to determine if existing IT staff could become security analysts.
3: Hear lessons learned from government and academia efforts in growing skills pool.
