Inside Cloudbleed

Posted on in Presentations

A year ago, Cloudfare encountered an extremely serious bug, dubbed “Cloudbleed,” that caused some data flowing through Cloudflare’s network to be leaked onto the Internet. The bug generated a lot of buzz and uncertainty among Cloudflare’s partners, customers and customers’ customers. But what technically happened to cause the bug, how was it resolved and what have we learned in the year since?

Learning Objectives:
1: Understand the full technical details of Cloudbleed and its reach.
2: Learn best practices for bug mitigation and monitoring for bugs technically.
3: Learn how to validate code to better prevent vulnerabilities.
