The Chinese Information War

Posted on by Ben Rothke

Author Dennis Poindexter begins The Chinese Information War: Espionage, Cyberwar, Communications Control and Related Threats to United States Interests with the observation that his book is about a war that many will doubt the US will have, an information war with China.

In the months since the Mandiant APT1: Exposing One of China's Cyber Espionage Units report was released, I think the reality is that the notion of a cyberwar with China is a reality that we all can agree on.

Poindexter writes that until the US sees itself as in a war, it cannot begin to effectively fight it.   Hopefully, this book will be a wake-up call.

Looks to be a fascinating read.

Full review to follow.
