And just like that, RSAC 2024 has come to a close! Over the past four days, we have learned so much from our 39 keynote presentations, 650+ featured acclaimed speakers, nearly 425 sessions, and over 600 exhibitors in the Expo. Notable announcements from the week include: Reality Defender being named RSA Conference 2024s Most Innovative Startup; Culminate, Knostic, and Tamnoon wowing the Launch Pad judges; and Michael Brown, Rear Admiral, US Navy (Ret.), Craig Gentry, and Oded Regev taking home some hardware as part of the RSA Conference Annual Awards.

To recap it all, let’s take a look back at the highlights from the fourth and final day of RSAC 2024:

In an always engaging and fruitful conversation, this year’s College Day Breakfast and Sponsor Panel was stacked with experts from Walmart and Google, who provided guidance and shared their expertise with a room full of college students looking to break into the dynamic world of cybersecurity.

With the rise of AI adoption across the global marketplace, AI Governance & Ethics: A Discussion with the Big Players, explored the accompanying increase in risks and concerns with executives from leaders in the field like OpenAI, Workday, and Uber. These AI pioneers shared their perspectives on strategies for building safety and trust in AI systems, how they are responding to new standards, and recommendations for compliance.

Then, Legal Eagles & CISOs: Safeguarding Tomorrow's Digital Frontiers explored the pivotal relationship between CISOs and legal professionals—essential for bolstering cyber resiliency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fortifying overall cybersecurity posture in the face of evolving threats. The audience was able to get a better sense of how this strategic partnership is imperative to effectively tackling the multifaceted challenges confronting organizations.

Attendees of Hacking Exposed: Next-Generation Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures gained greater understanding of the evolving tactics of adversaries who evade legacy system detection, aiming for maximum impact and devastation. The session highlighted advanced strategies used by threat actors and provided valuable tips for enhancing detection and response capabilities.

In an engaging fireside chat, Deputy National Security Advisor Anne Neuberger provided a comprehensive analysis of White House policy initiatives as they relate to emerging technologies. She covered the positive impact of artificial intelligence, leveraging digital technologies for societal benefit, advancing 5G and 6G networks, and strategies for combating ransomware and illicit cryptocurrency activities. In The Road Ahead for Cyber & Emerging Tech Policy, Neuberger offered unique insights on critical policy considerations at the intersection of national security and innovation.

At the RSAC Security Scholar Poster Pitch-Off, we saw the latest, cutting-edge research emerging from academia as the top RSAC Security Scholars presented their innovative projects to esteemed government officials, research experts, and cybersecurity veterans. This gave Conference-goers an opportunity to engage with emerging talent and explore groundbreaking ideas shaping the future of the industry.

CISOs Unchained featured a panel of four distinguished former CISOs who engaged in a candid and wide-ranging discussion about the evolving challenges of the role. They spoke in detail about their experiences navigating the complexities of cybersecurity throughout their distinguished careers.

For the first time ever, RSA Conference closed on Thursday with a celebration that included a special concert style performance featuring a GRAMMY® Award-winning artist.
