Research Scientist, Barracuda NetworksZejin Jason Ding is a research scientist at Barracuda Labs. Ding’s main research interests include applying machine learning methods to solve security related problems, such as spam detection, URL/domain classification, malware prevention, etc. He had presented talks/demos in various security conferences, including Black Hat, BSides (LV, ATL, AUSTIN, etc), GFIRST, Virus Bulletin, etc. His recent research focuses on identifying new threats and risks over popular social networks, such as the study of Facebook Fake profiles reported in Feb 2012, and discovering the underground economy of Twitter followers in Aug 2012, which both drove new research directions in the social media industry. Before joining Barracuda, He earned his Ph.D. in computer science from Georgia State University.
