The Changing Face of Business: Disruptive Technology and Trends
This panel we will cover disruptive technology and trends that may impact security over the next couple of years. The trends and technology we will discuss this year are:

  • The increasing use of non-traditional consumer services for vital business functions by enterprises as well as individual employees in the workplace. Examples:
    • Skype for telephone and audio conference services
    • PayPal as a payment clearing house
    • Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites for marketing programs
  • Observations and potential issues of encouraging, and allowing, employee owned devices (Notebooks, Smartphones, PDAs) in the corporate infrastructure.
  • Cloud computing technology as an extension to the corporate environment.
What happens to your business when the cloud goes dark (and stops providing the services you depend upon)? Or worse, what if the cloud goes to the dark side (and actively attacks)?
