Welcome to the RSA Conference™ 2027 Conference Health & Safety Hub. Our community's wellbeing is extremely important to us, and our goal is to host a safe and rewarding in-person Conference. We adjust our health and safety protocols as needed while updating this page regularly with information about the plans for our attendees, exhibitors, and staff onsite. Please check back here frequently for updates.
We’re looking forward to welcoming our community to San Francisco once again and we hope that, in addition to attending Conference, you’ll be able to take advantage of the many things the city has to offer.
Attendee safety remains a top priority for RSA Conference, and we work closely with the city to put our security and safety plans in place. Always exercise common sense and good judgment when traveling around San Francisco as you would with any major city. Here are some ways to do that:

Accessibility/ADA
More info on Accessibility and ADA can be found here.
With the safety of our attendees being our number one priority, all attendees and staff will be required to go through weapons detection screening. This is a non-intrusive, touchless experience with minimal stopping, emptying pockets, or bag searching. Some common items found in bags may require additional scanning. A list of FAQs can be found below about the process.
Why is RSA Conference doing this?
The safety of our attendees is our number one priority. RSA™ Conference has implemented weapons detection technology to elevate the overall security of the Conference and to align with industry standards. As a recognized leading cybersecurity event, RSA Conference is constantly looking at best practices to help stay ahead of any potential threats.
Has RSA Conference had a problem with attendee safety in the past?
This is not a reaction to any threats to the Conference. The safety of our attendees continues to be our top priority, which is why we implemented this weapons detection screening.
What is the screening process that will be implemented onsite?
The process is a non-intrusive, touchless, AI walk through weapons detection system that is able to differentiate between threats and non-threats both on an individual and in the bags they’re carrying. X-ray machines will also be onsite to potentially scan any bags that alert the detection system. For more information, please visit this link: Ingressotek.
What type of scans will there be?
We will be conducting weapons detection screening. This technology will be utilized for everyone entering the venue, in addition to x-ray machines for screening of bags if necessary.
What is the technology designed to detect?
Items such as firearms, blades and explosives.
What other items may set off the technology?
Common items that alert the machines when stacked next to one another include large portable battery packs, laptops and laptop chargers, ALTOID® tin cans, hard-sided sunglass/eyeglass cases, metal business card holders, certain types of RFID wallets, large camera equipment, and umbrellas.
What is the process?
Attendees should file through in a single line, without stopping, and without emptying their pockets.
Is there anything you need to take out before going through?
No.
What type of lanes will there be?
There will be two lanes for attendees. You can pass directly through the technology without emptying your pockets or opening up your bag. If you have a bag with items that commonly alert the technology (see list in question above), you may be directed to the side for your bag to go through an x-ray scanner if an alert is triggered.
Will there be designated entrances and exits?
Yes, especially during peak times—traffic flows may change so be sure to pay attention to all signage and staff.
What if I have an implanted medical device?
For more information, please read here.
Is it safe if I am pregnant?
For more information please read here.
What sort of signage will be present?
There will be signage alerting all attendees when they are approaching a weapons detection area. Signage will show pictures of devices that commonly set off the technology and individuals may be directed to the x-ray area in certain instances to have their bags scanned. There will be clearly marked exit doors.
Are weapons allowed in the Moscone Center or YBCA campuses?
No. More information on the Moscone Center’s weapons free policy can be found here.
How should attendees engage with the Canine Units that are present at RSAC 2027?
Working dogs in the form of canine detection units will be present onsite at RSAC 2027. These canines are not pets. You should not approach, distract or otherwise interfere with the handler dog teams in any way while they are performing services.
RSA Conference encourages all attendees to:
- Get up to date with your flu shot, vaccinations and take proper steps to prevent RSV.
- Remain at home if you feel ill.
Onsite Measures
- First-Aid stations will be available across the Moscone Center campus.
- Hand sanitization stations will be available throughout the Moscone Center.

Healthy Venues
- San Francisco’s Moscone Center announced in November 2023 that it has been awarded LEED Platinum certification for Existing Building Operations and Maintenance, the highest level of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
