Bay Area Rapid Transport (BART) is a heavy rail, all electric public transit system that connects the San Francisco Peninsula with communities in the East Bay and South Bay. BART operates in five counties (San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara) with 131 miles of track and 50 stations, providing service from both international airports in San Francisco (SFO) and Oakland (OAK) with 30-minute travel times into downtown San Francisco. To view the full list where BART travels, visit BART System Map and the BART Trip Planner for easy trip planning.

RSA Conference has partnered with BART for several years to support our sustainability efforts in San Francisco. BART is the fast, easy, low-cost way to get to downtown San Francisco in 30 minutes. Also, taking BART's all-electric trains from SFO or OAK keeps 20.2 lbs of carbon out of the air per round trip. Riders pay for BART with Clipper card, which offers a mobile app that supports both Apple and Android phones. Clipper is the Bay Area’s all-in-one transit card administered by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and is regionally accepted on BART and other area transit systems including AC Transit and San Francisco Bay Ferry in Oakland. Reusable and reloadable physical Clipper cards can also be purchased online with delivery options or purchased at BART station vending machines (please note, there is a one-time $3 fee to purchase Clipper online or from a vending machine).
