RSAC TV: Breaking and Entering: How and Why DHS Conducts Penetration Tests

As a security professional, Robert Karas has spent twenty-five years conducting penetration tests, as well as managing and building security and penetration testing teams. The past eight years he has worked at DHS building out their Assessment and Red Team capabilities. The lessons learned from being an “adversary” and thinking different are invaluable. This session will identify some of the clever ways hackers penetrate systems and how DHS is tackling key security issues to raise the level of security throughout the government.
