Adversaries are using cyber-weapons to conduct psychological operations to influence the hearts and minds of voters and interfere with elections. Combatting cyberattacks and social media manipulation is critical to the preservation of the voting process. Come behind the headlines to learn about vulnerabilities, attacks and consensus recommendations for strong and resilient election systems.Learning Objectives:1: Understand the techniques being used to attack the US election infrastructure.2: Understand how adversaries supplement system attacks with social media to undermine confidence.3: Become familiar with techniques to detect/thwart attacks on registration, voting and tally systems.Pre-Requisites:Familiarity with concept of “daily newspaper”; a high school course in United States history, including study of the US Constitution, is highly desirable.
