Cybercrime: What Do I Do If Something Goes Wrong?

Discover how law enforcement can help, if your child becomes the victim of cybercrime. Sgt. Christopher Servat of the San Francisco Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Unit shares vital information so that parents fully understand:

  • The situations law enforcement can become involved in
  • Local resources parents can turn to
  • The most prevalent threats on law enforcement’s radar
  • What to do and not do when you think your child is being pursued by a predator or involved in an inappropriate online relationship.

As part of RSA Conference’s goal to expand its CyberSafety: Kids philanthropic outreach program, RSAC hosted a one-day event, The CyberSmart: Parents Education Workshop, prior to the kick-off of Conference week. The event provided an overview to parents and caregivers on how to best support and secure their child’s online activities. This CyberSafety video is a recording of one of the workshop presentations.
