In his professional life Ben Jun is a cyber security professional and a father of 3 girls. In his professional life he is both proactive and reactive to cyber dangers. He also does the same thing in his personal life. He wants children to have the best tools both emotionally and technically to safely navigate the cyber-world.
He stresses that you supervise your child in the new “connected” world and teach them how to recognize dangers. We need to develop cyber street smarts and develop the confidence to say “no” to connections that don’t feel safe.
We can help our children by being good role models and showing them by example how to interact on social media, email and just browsing the web. Also, install apps that help your child stay safe. Teaching, supervising and monitoring will help your child safely navigate their new connected world.
