Robert Lentz

President and Chief Executive Officer, Cyber Security Strategies

Robert Lentz is the president and CEO of Cyber Security Strategies and former deputy assistant secretary of defense for Cyber, Identity and Information Assurance in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Networks and Information Integration/Chief Information Officer. In addition, Lentz previously served as the chief information security officer for the Department of Defense and, in this capacity, oversaw the department’s $3 billion Information Assurance & Cybersecurity programs. He started his career with the NSA in 1975 and has since accumulated 34 years of industry experience. He earned a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in history and social science from Saint Mary's College of Maryland and a Master’s degree in national security strategy from the National War College.
