Rich Salz

Development Team, OpenSSL / Akamai Technologies

Rich Salz has been involved in the definition and implementation of Internet and security standards for more than 20 years, starting with being a named contributor on RFC 1945. At DataPower and then IBM, he was lead implementor of the XS-40 security product. At Akamai he is involved with OpenSSL and general “security at scale” and configuration issues. He is heavily involved in the IETF TLS working group, Co-Chair of the ACME (LetsEncryp) protocol group, and has been in several RFC security reviews. He brings strong implementation and deployment knowledge to standards development, and deep standards knowledge back to the “other side.”
