Michele Mosca

Professor, University of Waterloo

Michele Mosca is a Founder of the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo, a founding member of Perimeter Institute, and Special Cyber Security Advisor at the Global Risk Institute, with a doctorate from Oxford.

He is globally recognized for his drive to help academia, industry and government prepare our cyber-systems to be safe in an era with quantum computers. He was a Founder of the ETSI-IQC workshop series in Quantum-Safe Cryptography.

He co-founded evolutionQ Inc. to provide services and products that enable organizations to evolve their quantum-vulnerable systems and practices to ones designed to be quantum-safe.

Awards include Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and Fr. Norm Choate C.R. Lifetime Achievement Award.
