Luke Dembosky

Deputy Assistant Attorney General for National Security, United States Department of Justice

Luke Dembosky is Deputy Assistant Attorney General at DOJ’s National Security Division, where he manages NSD’s efforts to combat national security cyber, economic espionage and proliferation threats. Previously, Dembosky oversaw litigation at DOJ’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section and served as DOJ’s attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Russia. He began prosecuting cyber and IP crimes at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Pittsburgh and has played a leading role in many major cyber cases, including the GameOver Zeus botnet disruption, coordination of the Silk Road takedown, and U.S. v. Max Ray Butler. Prior to joining DOJ, he worked in civil practice and clerked for Judge Richard L. Nygaard of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
