David Isay

Dave Isay, the recipient of four Peabody Awards and a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, is a respected broadcaster, author, documentarian and founder of StoryCorps.

Aired on NPR’s Morning Edition and distinguished with the Peabody and Columbia DuPont Awards for its coverage of the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and the MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions, StoryCorps is the vehicle by which Isay celebrates and explores the lives of everyday people from coast to coast.

In addition to his broadcasting work, Isay authored/edited numerous New York Times bestsellers including Listening Is an Act of Love, Mom: A Celebration of Mothers from StoryCorps, All There Is: Love Stories from StoryCorps and Ties That Bind: Stories of Love and Gratitude from the First Ten Years of StoryCorps.
