Defining Who We Are by Our Narratives: Why Diversity Matters

Posted on in Presentations

We all have different stories about how we entered the security field. Each narrative has a path, identity and perspective. As security leaders, we need to build a team with a mixed set of stories and make space for the different perspectives. This session will explore how narrative identity drives the essential requirement for diversity and inclusion, and why it makes security teams great.

Learning Objectives:
1: Explore the concept of identifying a personal narrative in security.
2: Learn how the narrative concept can be applied when looking for future positions.
3: Appreciate how having a team of defined narratives helps to promote diversity.
