Responsible for the architecture and development aspects of the information security program. This position will manage the design, development, and implementation of information security capabilities, technologies, and architectures. The position will also be responsible for managing a technical team to support information security initiatives and goals, ensuring that the staff has the right technical breadth and depth to support current platforms and future technology direction.

This role will coordinate the acquisition integration activities and re-design of our security program, combining two legacy programs while implementing advanced strategic capabilities including zero trust, automation, and advanced detection and response capabilities.

The position will require strong vision and collaboration with IT and business partner to ensure that the strategy and execution elements of Information Security meet the needs of the client.

On a daily basis this position will be responsible for:

Development of operational plans and workable business processes for own department in alignment with function strategy.

Managing larger business processes and/or projects, setting priorities and measurable objectives, monitoring and reporting on the process, progress and results. Typically influences work of cross-functional or extended teams.

Responding to, solving and making decisions on business requests that have broader department impact and/or moderate risk.

Presenting alternative solutions to business issues by leveraging the broader organization.

Providing expert direction in implementing enterprise security strategy and road map

Providing extensive support and assistance to senior leadership for decision on future investments and addressing complex issues impacting security architecture.

Researching new security technologies that would benefit the client’s security goals.

To be considered, candidates should have:

BS/BA in Information Security or other IT related degree highly valued. In addition, a master’s degree in Information Security or similar IT related specialization is also highly desired for this position.

15+ years' work experience in Information Technology

10 years Engineering; Technical and Compliance Experience

Experience translating identified enterprise risks into new or enhanced capabilities to maintain a successful and strong enterprise security posture.

Led the business case, design, and implementation of cyber security projects.

Be passionate about staying informed on new and emerging technologies through industry research and participation in industry events and groups.

Provided expert cyber security advisement to technical implementation teams ensuring secure solution delivery.

Developed information security patterns, architectures, and standards aligned to and supporting industry recognized frameworks.

Driven innovation through collaboration with business and technology managers to pilot and prototype business, IT, and security solutions.

Partnered with platform and application owners to review solutions and develop best practices and standards that can be leveraged company-wide.

Led engineering for security services and infrastructure, including project coordination and management when needed.

Maintained portfolio of information security projects, aligning with IT and business road maps.

Gathered requirements, create security architecture designs, analyze technical alternatives, provide cost analysis, test options, prepare configurations, document and communicate engineering plans.
