Summary:

SafeNet AT is looking for a technically strong sales engineer with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Sales Engineer position requires a TS security clearance. This position will interpret customer needs and determine if the SafeNet product portfolio can provide the appropriate solution. This person filling this role will be viewed as a trusted advisor to large DoD and Intel customers. U.S. citizenship is a must.

Experience:
10 years + experience supporting customers for an IT Hardware or Software Vendor.
Deep knowledge of PKI, including authentication and key management
Storage hardware experience a plus
Experience with network security protocols.

Skills:
Exhibited track record supporting technical products
Comfort performing hands-on product sales engineer functions, which may include POC’s, installations, configuration, and troubleshooting
Ability to thrive in an environment where teamwork is essential, but which is also low-structured, independent and fast-paced. Flexibility in contributing effort to tasks that may be outside of your comfort zone
Excellent presentation capabilities for delivering customer demonstrations, webinars, and/or whiteboard sessions. Communicates clearly and professionally in person and via email.
Effectiveness responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.

Strong understanding of use, market, and implementation of software and hardware cryptography products
Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Technical Support
• Pre-sales technical support for all SafeNet AT hardware and software products for the Federal Government
• Support regional sales managers on technical issues with products.
• Some post-sales customer support, particularly as regards helping customers with upgrades and migrations
• Comfort and willingness with travel out of the area potentially to include international; ~50%
Sales Support
• Assist sales to identify and qualify all opportunities for assigned strategic accounts and general inquiries.
• Creates and delivers accurate and technically correct sales presentations to potential customers.
• Work with sales support staff and pre and post sales staff to further customer relationships.
• Special projects and duties as assigned

Physical Demands:
Ability to travel to various customer locations in the Fort Meade area and Northern Va.
Remote working position with the ability to travel to the MD/DC/VA area.
