The Technical Product Manager will own a product area and related solutions from technology standpoint. The candidate will have a very good understanding of the product and will be able to articulate and present it to customers and to field system-engineers. The TPM will also gather field requirements and create PRD’s and will help prioritize feature requests. The right candidate should have a very good understanding of networking and security concepts and should have experience with Firewalls, Secure Web Gateways and other security devices.

A day in the life….

Engage with field personnel and understand customer requirements and feed to engineering via PRD’s
Work with engineering and product marketing to create technical solutions and enable field engineers
Develop technical collateral (solution brief, solution guides, videos, presentations) for consumption of A10 customers and field engineers.
Participate in EBC’s and present A10 solutions to customers
What do I need to land this role?

Minimum Bachelor of Engineering/Computer Science with 5 years of experience with Networking and Security Technologies
Prior experience in technical role, including engineering, TAC and Escalation or technical marketing.
In depth technical knowledge of Routing and Switching, Network Security and web-security
Domain expertise in IP networking, in particular data center networking, application delivery controllers (ADC), Firewalls and other security technologies
Hands on experience in setting up lab or production networks

Other bonus skills:

Ability to work in a cross functional environment with geographically dispersed team members
Ability to thrive in an environment requiring significant multitasking/content switching
Strong communication skills (oral and written) and technical writing skills (English)
Ability to work under limited supervision in defining initial goals and addressing complex issues
Excellent understanding of the industry landscape (competitors and partners)
Highly proficient and thorough understanding of product marketing engineering tools and techniques
