Chenxi will trace the growth of security from a minimal industry focusing on mainframes, to a ubiquitous presence in which every individual has “a computer in their pocket.” The Cloud is vulnerable to simultaneous attacks on groups or databases from many countries and many social strata. In the future, the security industry will transition from addressing nation state malware threats to quantum level threats against the entire human/AI interface. “Every aspect of our life is going to be digitized.” Threats will come at the most intimate levels. Kids—who are extremely cyber literate and advanced—will be particularly vulnerable. How will we deal with this? Chenxi hopes for international cooperation in breaking down the digital divide that separates us in age, gender, geography, nationality and economic interests. RSA Conference is central.
