China’s Social Credit System (SCS) will collect broad-based data on every Chinese citizen/business entity to generate a score representing a publicly available trustworthiness and integrity rating. The rating will be used to grant/deny societal benefits. This talk will explore whether the SCS is a harbinger for similar initiatives by other nations including the development of predictive policing systems.
