J.R. Manes

J.R. Manes joined HSBC as the Global Head of Cyber Intelligence in 2018 after serving more than 12 years as a Cyber Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). During his FBI career, Manes received the FBI Director’s Award for Outstanding Cyber Investigation, the Directorate of National Intelligence’s National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation, and the FBI’s Medal of Excellence for his investigative work against nation-state cyber actors. Manes also was a member of the FBI Cyber Action Team, a world-wide rapid cyber investigative fly-team that deployed to the most critical cyber incidents on behalf of the U.S. Government. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science and has a passion for cyber deception, malware analysis, coffee, and cyber intelligence.
