Jamil N. Jaffer is VP for Strategy and Business Development at IronNet Cybersecurity, a tech startup founded by former NSA Director Gen. (ret.) Keith Alexander and NCTC Director Matt Olsen. Jaffer directs the Homeland and National Security Law Program at GMU’s Scalia Law School and teaches cybersecurity law and other national security matters, is a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution, and is affiliated with Stanford’s Center for International Security and Cooperation. At the House Intelligence Committee, Jaffer was the Lead Architect of the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) and led the Justice Department’s efforts on the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative. Jaffer is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, the US Naval War College and UCLA.
