Head of Strategic Threat research, Intel Security

Christiaan Beek manages threat intelligence research in Intel Security’s Office of the CTO. He leads research in advanced attacks and assists in cyberattack takedown operations. He develops and designs threat intelligence strategy and systems, performs malware and forensic analysis, is part of the red-team and coaches security teams globally. Prior roles include Director of Threat Intelligence in McAfee Labs and Director of Incident Response and Forensics at Foundstone, Intel Security’s forensic services arm, where he led a team of forensic specialists in EMEA. A passionate cybercrime specialist, Beek has developed training courses and workshops. He often speaks at international conferences like Black Hat, RSAC, BlueHat, and he contributed to the best-selling security book Hacking Exposed.
