Andrew J. Peck was appointed United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of New York on February 27, 1995, and served as Chief Magistrate Judge in 2004 and 2005. He graduated with honors from Cornell University in 1974 and from Duke University School of Law in 1977, where he was Notes and Comments Editor of the Duke Law Journal. Peck is an Adjunct Professor at Cardozo Law School, where he has taught a course in pretrial practice. Peck is a frequent lecturer on issues relating to electronic discovery and is a member of the Sedona Conference. He was awarded the Champion of Technology Award for 2011 by Law Technology News.
