Director Critical Infrastructure – Data and Services Sector, Department of Home Affair’s Cyber Security Response Coordination Unit
Rebecca Kerlett represents the Cyber Security Response Coordination Unit, which was established on 1 December 2022 within the Department of Home Affairs. The Unit reports through to the National Cyber Security Coordinator and works alongside Commonwealth, state and territory agencies to coordinate consequence management activities for nationally significant cyber security incidents. This is a collaborative approach which sees consequence management occur alongside the technical, law enforcement, and regulatory activities which might occur off the back of an incident. The Unit also delivers a program of exercises that explore the use of policies, powers and stakeholder engagement frameworks that may be called on in response to a significant cyber security event, in partnership with industry.
