Chris Carlson

Chris Carlson has a MS in Chemical Engineering and a MS in Computer Science. She started her career at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where she helped build two spaceflight instruments for the Cassini Mission, which launched in 1997 and gathered data for 20 years. Following NASA, she went to IBM, where she developed IBM-wide tooling to handle product security response. Six years ago she joined Target as a Principal Engineer, where she developed custom incident response tooling. Four years ago she switched to leadership and led the creation of the CyberDev team when development of Target's custom SIEM began. She now leads the 5-team Cyber Security Development and Engineering organization as Director of Technology.
