Professor, University of North Carolina at CharlotteBill Chu has over 25 years of experience in higher education, both as a faculty member as well as department chairs and college dean. Currently he teaches and does research in information security at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His area of research includes application security, security analytics and security automation. He is associate director of the Center of Configuration Analytics and Automation, a research center serving the U.S. government, financial service companies and defense contractors. He serves as an adviser on the university’s IT information assurance governance committee which over sees the strategy and governance of the university’s information security program. Chu received in B.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland at College Park.
