Alexander Dewdney

Alex Dewdney is the Senior UK Liaison Officer at the British Embassy in Washington DC, responsible for co-ordination of UK/US work on cyber issues. Dewdney coordinates with the Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance UK and contributed to the first UK Cyber Security Strategy in 2009. He has developed policy frameworks for cyber operations and has coordinated work on funding for the various UK agencies within the National Cyber Security Programme. Prior to that he held a variety of operational and other posts, including stints in counter-terrorism, personnel security and was responsible for managing relations with HM Treasury and Cabinet Office on issues of strategic resource management.
