Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer, Raymond James FinancialSamuele Ghelfi is an experienced Executive and subject matter expert in Information Security, Privacy, Information Technology Strategy and Management. Mr. Ghelfi currently acts as the Chief Security and Privacy Officer for Raymond James Financial where he is responsible for the overarching security risk management strategy, as well as the tactical implementation teams across the financial services lines of business domestically and internationally.
Mr. Ghelfi also has significant operational and consulting experience in these subject matter areas.
Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Ghelfi focused on Security, IT Strategy, Regulatory Compliance and Crisis Management at Ernst & Young where he managed the client relationship, budget, and program delivery of risk consulting services for two of Ernst & Young's major international accounts.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Mr. Ghelfi managed multiple internet crimes programs focusing on digital piracy and incident response for Fortune 500 companies, was the lead network security engineer in the design of the largest cable modem internet service provider’s high availability data center and network backbone architecture, and consulted internationally on information security and e-commerce for a global consulting firm.
Mr. Ghelfi's speaking engagements include Effective Crisis Management at the Disaster Recovery Journal's annual conference, FS-ISAC Conference and participation in various CISO panels. Sam Ghelfi is fluent in Italian and French and is conversant in Spanish, having conducted business in each of these languages, in multiple countries. Mr. Ghelfi's technical experience spans multiple platforms and operating systems and he is vendor agnostic in his knowledge of security solutions.
