Chemistry Teacher in high school, he taught me how to think out of the box.

Mitigating the repercussions when security advice is not followed.

What industry-wide changes need to happen in order to improve how security organisations work together?

Wow...You ask that like it is a good thing. We are assuming that all security organisations are aligned with same goals and desires, which may not be the case.

Why do you keep coming back to RSA Conference?
1. Seeing friends.
2. Looking at the new technology on the floor.
3. Hearing about security trends that I might not yet be tracking.

That is a tough one... Jim Bidzos and his predictions for the future.

What does "Security in knowledge: Mastering data. Securing the world" mean to you?
Being able to get information, anywhere / anytime, analyse the information, in order to determine trends, risks, and mitigations...

Most memorable career moment?
Being on the NIST Board of Assessment.

Favourite session topic:
Security and Incident Analysis.

What aspect of your job gets you up in the morning?
Knowing that each day will present a different challenge, and that will have an interesting solution.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A doctor.

Perfect day off:
Sitting in front of a screen, working on disassembling an APT attack.

I love the work.
