The attempt by the FBI to require Apple to hack its own iPhone is the latest attempt by a government to require access to encrypted data residing on a device and in the cloud. The Apple case, when considered with the U.S. v. Microsoft '' appeal, represents a perfect storm that will determine the future of our businesses and expectations of privacy.
