DDoS attacks are no longer just about bandwidth consumption. Today's application-layer DDoS attacks can succeed while consuming little network bandwidth. The session reviews common DDoS attacks including the increasingly common application layer attacks, the impact on common web server implementations and shares lab and real-world observations of various attacks scenarios and mitigation techniques.
