Code of Conduct Overview
This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for all participants of RSA Conference (“RSAC”). Event organizers will enforce this code and expect cooperation from all RSAC participants (e.g., speakers, attendees, media, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, staff) to help us promote an enjoyable experience for everyone.
RSAC is committed to diversity, equality, and providing a safe and productive environment that fosters open dialogue and the free expression of ideas, free of harassment, discrimination and hostile conduct. We recognize a shared responsibility to create and maintain that environment for the benefit of all.Acceptable RSAC Behavior
Acceptable behaviors include but are not limited to:- demonstrating good manners by being considerate, respectful and courteous to those in attendance
- respecting diversity of thought from your fellow participants
- being mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants
- refraining from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behavior and speech
- promptly alerting event organizers if you notice a potentially dangerous situation or someone in distress
Dress Code
At RSA Conference, we encourage all attendees to dress in a professional and business-casual manner. Our dress code ensures a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Business Casual Attire: Attendees are encouraged to wear business casual clothing, which can include slacks, skirts or dresses, khakis, untorn jeans, collared shirts, blouses, sweaters, sports coats or blazers, and professional, but comfortable, footwear. Business suits are also acceptable.
- Name Badges: Attendees are required to always wear their name badges visibly during Conference sessions and events.
- Respectful Attire: Clothing with offensive language or images is not appropriate.
We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines to contribute to a professional and welcoming atmosphere at RSA Conference. Please note that coat and bag check is available Monday through Thursday during registration hours.
All participants shall conduct their business and interactions at RSAC events in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Unacceptable RSAC Behavior
Unacceptable behaviors include but are not limited to:
- intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct, including conduct (physical or verbal) meant to provoke
- wearing clothing not suitable for a professional work environment
- offensive verbal comments, including comments that others may find inappropriate (e.g., related to race, ethnicity, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, etc.)
- inappropriate use of nudity (e.g., sexual or lewd images)
- intimidation or stalking
- harassing photography or recording
- intentional disruption of presentations or other events
- inappropriate or unwelcome physical contact or verbal advances
- physical, written, verbal or other abuse (e.g., threats, annoyance, pushing, shoving or physical force whatsoever against any person, which in any way creates a disturbance that is disruptive or dangerous, or creates anxiety or apprehension in an individual)
- boisterous, lewd or offensive behavior or content such as profanity, obscene gestures or slurs
- possession of any item that can be used as a weapon, which may cause danger to others if used inappropriately
- possessing alcoholic beverages in areas not specifically designated for the consumption of alcohol
- possessing any illegal substance such as narcotics
- being under the influence of substances to the point of unseemly intoxication (e.g., alcohol or drugs)
- smoking and vaping, other than in designated areas
- failing to obey any rules or regulations of the venue
- failing to adhere to RSAC verbal or written instruction
- assembling for the purpose of, or resulting in, disturbing the peace, or committing any unlawful act or engaging in offensive behavior
Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. Anyone engaged in unacceptable behavior is subject to expulsion from RSAC without warning or refund and/or banishment from future RSAC events. All determinations are at the sole discretion of the event organizer and its representatives and will be considered final.
We expect participants to follow this Code of Conduct at the RSAC venue, any external venue affiliated with RSAC and/or RSAC ancillary or social events. The policy may be revised at any time by the RSAC organizer and is non-negotiable.

- offensive verbal or written comments, including comments that others may find inappropriate (e.g., obscenities, threats or inappropriate comments related to race, ethnicity, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, etc.)
- use of nudity (e.g., sexual or lewd images)
- intimidation, stalking or inappropriate advances
- intentional disruption of presentations or other events
- failing to adhere to RSAC verbal or written instruction
