Brian Tsuchida

Brian Tsuchida is the Chief United States Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Washington in Seattle. Before taking the bench in 2008, he served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender, as Felony Supervisor for the Defender Association, and as Associate at Schroeter, Goldmark and Bender. He served on numerous committees, e.g., Washington State Bar Association CLE and Diversity Committees and the Washington State Supreme Court Minority and Justice Commission. He is a current member of the Ninth Circuit Executive Conference Committee, the Ninth Circuit Magistrate Judges Executive Board, the Federal Magistrate Judge’s Association’s Diversity Committee, the Western District of Washington’s Social Security Committee, and an Adjunct Faculty Member at Seattle University School of Law.
