Affiliate, Stanford UniversitySameer Bhalotra is a cybersecurity entrepreneur. Previously, he served as senior director for cybersecurity at the White House. In this position, he advised the President on the nation's top priority cybersecurity initiatives to protect U.S. commerce and critical infrastructure, cybersecurity legislation, and the government's cybersecurity budget. Prior to this, he worked for the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence as technology and cybersecurity lead. He began his government career as an engineer at the Central Intelligence Agency. Bhalotra received an undergraduate degree in Physics from Harvard Univ. and a doctorate in Applied Physics from Stanford Univ. He is a senior associate in the Technology & Public Policy Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
