Special Counsel, Cooley LLPRandy Sabett is an attorney at Cooley LLP, where he advises clients on information security, privacy, IT licensing and intellectual property.
Sabett has 20+ years of infosec experience, including as an NSA crypto engineer and a CISSP. He served on the Commission on Cyber Security for the 44th Presidency. Within the ABA, he is an active member of the Federated Identity Management Legal Task Force. He is on the Board of Directors for the Georgetown Cybersecurity Law Institute and the Northern Virginia chapter of ISSA, is an adjunct professor at George Washington University and is on the faculty of IANS. He was recently named the Information Security Professional of the Year for 2013 by ISSA. He holds two U.S. patents, one in information security and the other in active noise cancellation.
