Training Director, SANS Securing the HumanLance Spitzner is the training director for SANS Securing The Human program. Spitzner has been actively involved in information security for over fifteen years. He first started as a senior security architect with Sun Microsystems, helping secure Fortune 500 organizations around the world. He then founded and ran the Honeynet Project, an international, open source cyber intelligence group developing and deploying honeypot technologies around the world and sharing the lessons learned. For the past five years he has been passionately focused on the human element, helping hundreds of organizations around the world build high-impact security awareness programs. He has a M.B.A. from University of Illinois, Chicago and served as an officer in the Army's Rapid Deployment Force.
