President and Chief Executive Officer, Council on CyberSecurityJane Holl Lute is currently CEO & President of the Council on Cybersecurity. Before this, she was Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security from 2009-2012, where she served as chief operating officer for the third largest department in the Federal Government. Among her responsibilities, Lute oversaw much of the early operational efforts of the Obama Administration to strengthen the nation’s approach to cyber security. She has over 35 years of national and international public service, including active duty in the United States Army. Prior to joining the Administration, she served in the United Nations, where she led support operations to UN peacekeeping worldwide. She has a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University and a J.D. from Georgetown Law Center.
