Global Head of Security Research, SophosJames Lyne is Global Head of Security Research at Sophos and an instructor at the SANS institute. Lyne’s focus is analyzing the most recent technology and threat trends, including cyber criminal activity, new security and privacy issues and generally breaking anything he can get his hands on to. He is a regular keynote speaker at conferences and industry events, has delivered a TED talk and frequently appears on TV and radio worldwide, as a representative for the industry to the not so security inclined. He is a keen advocate of generating new talent in the industry and works on a variety of initiatives; designing games and challenges to snare interest from or promote newcomers to security. He has an unfortunate collection of bow ties.
