Catherine Lotrionte

Director, Institute for Law, Science and Global Security, Georgetown University

Catherine Lotrionte is the Director of the Institute for Law, Science and Global Security and Assistant Professor of Government at Georgetown University. Lotrionte teaches courses on international and national security law and cybersecurity law. From 2002-2006 she served as Counsel to the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board at the White House. She was Assistant General Counsel at CIA, providing legal advice relating to information warfare, foreign intelligence and counterintelligence. She has a Ph.D. from Georgetown University, a J.D. from NYU and has authored over 70 publications, including a forthcoming book, Cyber Policy as An Instrument of International Relations. She recently moderated a panel entitled “The Applicability of International Law in Cyberspace—From If to How?”
