Ari Schwartz

Director of Cybersecurity Privacy, Civil Liberties and Policy, National Security Council Staff, The White House

Ari Schwartz currently serves as the Director for Cybersecurity Privacy, Civil Liberties and Policy for the National Security Staff. Schwartz is responsible for the formulation and execution of cybersecurity related privacy policy for the White House and outreach to relevant stakeholders on cyber policy. Previously he served as a Senior Policy Advisor to Commerce Secretaries Gary Locke, John Bryson and Rebecca Blank. Prior to his work in Government, he served over 12 years as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Center for Democracy and Technology where he won the RSA Conference awards for Excellence in Public Policy.
